Where should you put the device?
The Air Wick FreshMatic can be hung on the wall using the screw fixing provided. Alternatively it can be simply placed on a shelf or cupboard. It should always be placed at a height of at least 2 metres above floor level. Read the instructions before use.
How do you know when the batteries have run out?
The green LED light on the front of the device will stop flashing as the device will no longer be working. The batteries will generally last 4-5 refills variable.
What is the proper way to insert the refill?
Keeping the unit directed away from your face at all times, switch the unit to "off" before attempting to insert the refill. To open the gadget, depress the button on the top and pull the front cover forward. Insert the refill can. The nozzle should be facing toward the front of the gadget. When the gadget is closed you should see the black nozzle orifice through the hole where the spray comes through the gadget. Select your desired level of fragrancing by setting the timer switch to 9, 18 or 36 minutes and close unit. The 1st spray will come after a 15 second delay.
I’ve turned the device on by setting my time interval—why isn’t it spraying fragrance?
Make sure the device has been turned off. First, check to be sure the nozzle is facing the correct direction. When the device is closed, you should see the black nozzle tip of the fragrance refill can through the opening in the front of the unit just to the right of the green light. If you cannot see the black nozzle tip, you may have incorrectly placed the fragrance refill can into the device with the black nozzle facing backwards. Next, check to be sure that the red disc mechanism is in the raised position. To identify the red disc mechanism, locate the opening where the nozzle of the refill can should rest. If the red disc is blocking the opening, then using a pen with slight force, push the disc in an upward motion back up into place. If you are having further problems, check to see if your batteries are securely positioned. Remember, if the batteries are not correctly set in place—with the positive ( + ) ends of the batteries completely aligned with positive end of the terminals—the FreshMatic’s may not be receiving the power it needs to operate. Make sure that the batteries are making complete contact with each terminal. Note: Your batteries should last approximately 4 refill cans. If the FreshMatic’s green light stops flashing, you may need to replace your batteries.
My FreshMatic device is open, and there is no fragrance in place. There is a red, disc mechanism that is preventing me from inserting my fragrance refill. What should I do?
In order to reposition the red disc mechanism and insert your fragrance refill, TURN DEVICE OFF, then with slight force, using a pen, push the mechanism back up into position. You can now insert your fragrance refill can and start over.

What are the fragrances available?
We have three great fragrance pairs available (with new fragrances to come!), but you can also combine your favourite Air Wick fragrances.
How long do the fragrance pairs last?
With two small (10ml) “double refills”, the product will last up to 75 days*
*based on a daily usage of 12h at minimum setting.
Can I use the small (10ml) double refills in any other device? And Can I use the large (19ml/21ml) refill in Symphonia?
Yes. The 10ml refills will fit with the standard electric plug-in, with the X-Press™ electric refills, and with Air Wick Lumin’Air. The large (19ml/21ml) refills can also be used in the New Air Wick Symphonia.
How did you select the fragrance pairs?
The pairs selected for Symphonia have been developed and chosen to give you two exciting but complimentary fragrances which you notice every time they change.

The fragrances alternate every hour.

No, but you can adapt the fragrance intensity by pressing the X-press™ Boost Button and by varying the setting of the blue dials.

The pairs selected for Symphonia have been developed and chosen to give you two exciting but complimentary fragrances; however, you have the freedom to use any of your favourite AIR WICK® fragrances together.

Yes. As there is more liquid in the large refills, it will last longer.
If I adjust differently the fragrance intensities, one being higher than the other, is that one going to evaporate first?
You can adjust the intensity of each fragrance individually. If you set differently one will evaporate before the other. The advantage of Symphonia is that you can replace each individual fragrance when it has run out, and that you don’t need to wait for both compartments to be empty.
Can it work with one refill only?
Yes, the device will function with only one refill, however we would recommend that for the best performance the plug-in is used with both refills.
